The episode begins with the unleashed rampaging through Idol Rabier's estate. Naofumi realizes the beast is specifically hunting Filo due to a dark crystal she carries from a zombie dragon. To protect the city, Naofumi lures the monster into the forest, but the party's attacks prove completely ineffective against its armored skin.

Fitoria expresses deep concern over the heroes' inability to cooperate. She vows that if they cannot work together, she will kill all four heroes so they can be re-summoned as a group that might actually cooperate.
