He still remembers the hill and the laughter, but the ache is gone. He realizes that "where we started" wasn't a place to live in—it was just the coordinates for the beginning of the journey. If you'd like, I can:

Elias lived in the Archive, a city built entirely of glass and white marble. In the Archive, nothing was ever truly gone. You could walk down 4th Street and, for a small fee, trigger a "Residual"—a holographic loop of your sixth birthday, or the last time you saw a friend before they moved away.
But the Archive was decaying. The loops were stuttering, the glass was cracking, and the sky—once a brilliant, artificial blue—was fading into a dull, static gray. The city’s core was failing.
"You can’t stay in the loop forever," a voice rang out. It was Jex, a Scavenger who lived in the "Lost Sky"—the unmapped territory beyond the city walls where no holograms existed. "I don’t know how to be anywhere else," Elias admitted.

I’m actually looking forward to checking this one out. Serbian Film would have been better if not for all the hype surrounding the film. Salo ranks up there with this other film Sweet Movie as beautiful repulsing films I’ll never watch again.
I’m equally repulsed and intrigued by the concept of this film though.
