The interrogation room was painted a color that could only be described as municipal despair. A flickering fluorescent light hummed at a frequency that vibrated right at the base of Susan’s skull. Lancing leaned forward, casting a long shadow over the table. "You buried them in the back garden, Susan. You and Christopher dug a hole and put them in the dirt like old trash. That's not surviving. That's murder." Chris and I were just surviving
