A single folder appeared. Inside weren't thousands of photos, as the file size suggested, but just one. He opened it, expecting a blurry vacation snap or a corrupted header. Instead, he saw his own living room.
The progress bar hit 100%. He didn't even have to click it. The image snapped open to fill the entire screen. It was a close-up, so tight it was grainy. It was a photo of his own wide, terrified eye, reflecting the glow of the monitor.
The cold breath hit the back of his neck a second before the screen went black.
He opened it. The new photo showed the back of his head, hunched over the glowing monitor. But in this shot, the door to his office—the door he always locked—was swinging open.
The photo was high-resolution, crystal clear. It showed his couch, his messy coffee table, and the half-eaten pizza box from dinner. His heart hammered against his ribs—the angle of the shot was from the corner of the ceiling, right behind him.
He didn’t remember clicking a link. He didn’t recognize the sender. But in the quiet of 3:00 AM, curiosity is a heavy weight. He clicked "Extract."

Lovely blog post, Calvy boy! Here’s hoping people draw inspiration and say no to crackers for good.
I am totally in favour of saying no to crackers coz I know how these tiny beings get scared especially street furry babies.. I will share your article on my face book also so that each reaches to maximum people and they learn to say big NO to crackers .. 🙂
Super post. It hurt me to see the condition several stray dogs were in last night. Not much of a happy Diwali for them! I was glad to see some of them taken indoors by a helpful security guard.
