However, "Boogeyman 2" is not without its flaws. The film struggles with the execution of its central mystery. As the body count rises, the narrative actively teases whether the killer is the actual supernatural entity from Laura's past or a human psychopath adopting the Boogeyman's persona. While this ambiguity provides some suspense, the ultimate resolution can feel predictable to seasoned fans of the genre. Additionally, the character development is relatively thin. The patients are largely defined by their singular fears rather than complex personalities, making it difficult for the audience to form deep emotional attachments before they are killed off.
